Site description
Archaeological site from the XIV c protected by law. Ruins of a main church, a parecclesion and a refectory. In the XV century, the site was abandoned and later used as a quarry to build Sinan Pasha mosque.
New monastic building and workshop constructed during the 1990s

2004-Damage Assessment
|
- New monastery completely burnt down in March 2004: destroyed roofs and services, badly damaged walls ceilings and floors.
- Workshop burnt down and totally destroyed.
- The rest of the archaeological site was undamaged.
- New konak built by the Church over the site of the old workshop during 2004 - after the March riots.
